Yasmyn has a passion for Aboriginal health outcomes and enjoys creating meaningful change within her community, and the community at large. Yasmyn has both professional and personal experience working to calm the nervous system which encompasses a poly vagal approach. She also utilises and works with the inner child allowing clients to hold compassion for themselves within their healing journey. Yasmyn supports all age groups with various issues and focus areas.

Yasmyn is a qualified Social Worker with vast experience within the disability sector, most notably the autism spectrum space and has lived experience as her son has autism/ADHD.

Yasmyn completed her Bachelor of Social Work with Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in 2016 and has worked within her local community as an Indigenous Social Worker. Yasmyn graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Counselling and Human services where her love for working with people with different abilities came to fruition.

As an Aboriginal woman Yasmyn has always been passionate about the need to have Aboriginal people work within mainstream positions alongside key people who have the same passion for sharing, caring and guiding people to better health awareness and outcomes.

Yasmyn is passionate about social issues and working with people in general, especially through the many disadvantaged groups and communities that struggle to traverse the many policies and procedure that make up service provision in Australia.
Yasmyn has strength and compassion to make a difference to people's lives when they attend services and request assistance.
Life experiences, diverse employment and a love for volunteering has led to Yasmyn's personal appreciation of the needs of children, young people, their families and those of all walks of life. These experiences have allowed Yasmyn to develop an awareness of the diverse cultural expectations within communities and she prides herself on her excellent interpersonal skills. Yasmyn’s passion lies in the field of advocacy and equality for those affected by social inequalities.
